Commitment to our Community: TRANSPORT GROUP is committed to the development of the individual regardless of circumstance.  TRANSPORT GROUP actively pursues partnerships with other non profit organizations to expand the potential for impact.  We strive to help participants achieve their fullest potential.

Creative Arts Workshops for Kids, Inc.:
  Creative Arts Workshops for Kids, Inc. (“CAW”) Currently, TRANSPORT GROUP partners with Creative Arts Workshops for Kids, Inc. (“CAW”)—a nonprofit organization based in Harlem, New York dedicated to empowering youth through creative arts. Over the last four years, TRANSPORT GROUP artists have lead performing art workshops for disadvantaged and at-risk children involved in CAW’s programming. Workshops have included: performance techniques, playwriting & poetry, mask making and movement, puppetry, magic, improvisation and stage combat.


Summer Theatre Institute (a partnership with CAW):

 In the summer of 2005, TRANSPORT GROUP artists Monica Russell, Kathryn Rohe, Chris Harcum and Paul Olmer taught behind-the-scenes and performance workshops to the teens involved with CAW’s programming. The program resulted in building an outdoor stage at Peace Place Park in Harlem (124th Street between 2nd and 1st Avenues) on which the students performed a talent show.
   

Katrina's Kids:

 Initiated and imagined by TRANSPORT GROUP Associate Artist Monica Russell, in December, 2005, TRANSPORT GROUP sponsored a toy drive and Christmas party benefit for the children devastated by Hurricane Katrina. Ms. Russell and Associate Artist Chris Harcum collected and transported new toys to Gulfport, Mississippi where they performed a short play written by Mr. Harcum.
